Mary-Kate, Ashley Olsen Visit Honduras for TOMS
Photos are already moving, but the video really says it all. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen visited children outside of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, earlier this summer, which Toms walking shoes to those in need.
"We are very conscious of [the symptoms founder Blake Mycoskie at] work and what has worked and is trying to accomplish, and that's something we obviously want to be part of the" Ashley shares in the clip above.
Sisters in partnership with Toms for the creation of limited edition shoes over his mark, Row, for each pair of symptoms Row + shoes sold, a child in need will get a new pair of shoes. "It was so much fun to work with Row and see the girls and their friends here on hands and knees putting shoes on kids' feet," Mycoskie says. In fact, the experience proved to be very humiliating for the stars. "I think it really taught me something about myself and how I can be gentle and love," Mary-Kate says. "And to put a smile on the face of a child is ... well, there's nothing like it." Adds Ashley, "Children are so special, kind, they are loving, hospitable, and they just unbelievable."
